BestColleges just named FIU’s online bachelor’s degree in political science #2 in the nation!
Noting that the program’s “flexibility allows learners to tailor the curriculum for general or specialized knowledge within the field,” the ranking further notes that students can “gain the skills to pursue advanced studies or a career in government or the private sector.”
The fully online bachelor of arts in political science engages students in the analysis of political theories, institutions, and processes like voting and campaigning.
The curriculum explores four sub-fields of political science: American government and politics, comparative politics, political theory, and international politics.
Students acquire an in-depth understanding of the discipline while developing their interest in civic engagement, political participation, and public affairs.
“The Department of Politics and International Relations is delighted that our online B.A. program in political science has been recognized as the second highest ranked in the nation only two years after it was launched,” said John Clark, the chair of the department. “The ranking reflects the impressive range and high quality of the online courses that the department offers its students. In turn, the quality of the courses reflects the commitment of our political science instructors and the extraordinary efforts of our Director of Online Learning, Dr. Sara Moats.”
