Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs2021-2022 Dorothea Green Fellowship Award

The Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs is pleased to announce the 2021-2022 competition for research awards for tenured faculty members at the Associate and Full levels in Green School departments and programs. Faculty meeting these eligibility criteria are invited to apply for the Dorothea Green Fellowship.

Selected Fellows will receive funding that can be used to support their research (for book proposals and manuscripts, journal article manuscripts, larger funded proposal, etc.). The award can be used to cover research related expenses, including supplies (non-electronic), books, travel, data acquisition, data transcription and conference registration.

A limited number of fellowships will be awarded for research to be conducted in Summer and Fall 2021 and Spring 2022*. Faculty shall receive awards of up to $2,000.

A one-page proposal describing clearly the research project and how the funds will be used along with a budget (on a second page) should be formatted into one document. A CV should also be included in the application. The application should be submitted to sipafellows@fiu.edu as a single email (with the items attached) by March 20th at 5pm. Fellowship awards will be announced by April 20th. Given the importance of high impact research as well as sponsored research, those proposals demonstrating how the research will lead to publication in a high impact journal or book press or a larger grant proposal will be given priority. All Dorothea Green Fellowship recipients will be expected to produce a one-page report describing research activities and how the Fellowship funds were used.

*Funds secured may also be used to cover research in Spring 2021.
